Easter Festivities in Bucks County

Easter in Bucks CountyBucks County is a wonderful place to raise a family, and with the weather warming up, Easter is the perfect opportunity to get outside and get active! I’ve put together a few of the events happening in the various nearby communities to help you plan your weekends. Events start as early as this weekend, with activities to delight the entire family. Make sure you remember to bring a basket to hold all of your goodies!

Bristol Township

When: Saturday, March 16th, 9am

Where: Bristol Township Senior Center & Bristol Municipal Building Football Field

This event kicks off with a full breakfast with the Easter Bunny himself!  Pancakes, eggs, sausage and beverages will be available starting at 9am at the senior center. Arts, crafts and games will be in progress throughout the breakfast to entertain little ones. The Easter egg hunt begins at noon and is open to children between the ages of 2-10.

Doylestown

Bucks County Gardens

When: Saturday, March 23rd, 11am

Where: Bucks County Gardens, 1057 N Easton Rd

This event is perfect for animal lovers! The day starts with a petting zoo including goats, sheep, pigs, ducks, chickens and of course, bunnies! There will even be a cow, llama, deer and camel at this event. At 1pm the hunt begins. Children will be broken up into different age groups, and activities such as face painting and the petting zoo continuing until 3pm.

Kids Castle Playground

When: Saturday, March 23rd, 10am

Where: Kids Castle Playground, Doylestown Central Park, 425 Wells Road

The first hunt begins at 10am, and kids 2-9 will be divided into age groups before being set loose to collect their eggs. There will be complimentary snacks and beverages provided, along with a variety of children’s arts, crafts and activities. Professional photographers will be available to capture all of the fun and excitement. This event marks the temporary closing of the beloved Kids Castle for some well-deserved renovations.

Newtown

When: Saturday, March 23rd, 9am

Where: Pickering Manor, 226 North Lincoln Ave

This is sure to be an event that will be fun for the entire family! Who says you have to be a kid to hunt for eggs? Newtown has hunts planned for kids, adults, and even grandparents. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance, and with more than 3,000 plastic eggs plus prizes have been donated; everyone is sure to be going home with a basket full of loot.

Yardley

When: Saturday, March 23rd, 10am

Where: Old Library by Lake Afton, 46 West Afton Ave

This event, organized by the Yardley Historic Association and the Yardley Recreation Board, is sure to be a blast. Hop on over and play with the Easter Bunny, get your picture taken and hunt for eggs.
